Candidates seeking admission to the first year Degree Course in Painting / Sculpture / Metal Work / Textile Design / Interior Decoration/ Ceramics :

Eligibility of Maharashtra State & OMS candidate appearing for CET 2013 Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed/appeared the HSC (Std.XII /10+ 2 Level) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (any stream) or its Equivalent examination with English as one of the subject and secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for Backward class Category candidates belonging to M.S. only)

Note : Candidates who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination during the academic year 2013-14 and whose results are not declared till the last date of submission of application form are eligible to appear for MH-AAC-CET 2013, however for admission to first year of degree course in B.F.A. such candidates must fulfill the criteria as mentioned in rule no. 2.2#. Maharashtra State Candidates (defined as per rule no. 2.5#) and OMS candidate (defined as per rule no.2.6#) are eligible to appear for the MH-AAC-CET2013 conducted by the competent Authority of Govt. of Maharashtra for the academic year 2013-14.

Even thouge Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) Candidates are eligible to appear for the MH-AAC-CET 2013, it is specifically made clear that such OMS Candidate will not be able to participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) on the basis of score in MH-AAC-CET 2013. The facility of Constitutional Reservation is not available for the OMS candidates. Therefore all OMS candidates will be treated as OPEN/GENRAL Category candidates in the entire admission process.

Eligibility criteria for admission to GOI nominees/J & K Migrants/Foreign Nationals/ Foreign Students/PIO There will be THREE practical Subjects each of 50 marks and one General Knowledge (objective type) paper of 40 Marks. Assignment of merit number will be out of 200 marks, out of which 150 marks will be for practical examination, 40 marks for General Knowledge (Objective type) examination. And 10 marks are as credit marks to the candidates who have passed Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination. The Grace marks awarded for passing Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination are as mentioned below: 

“A” Grade : 10 Marks

“B” Grade : 06 Marks

“C” Grade : 04 Marks

Those candidates who have not passed the Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination will also be eligible for appearing for the MH-AACCET 2013 examination, but such candidates will not be given any credit marks as reserved for those who have passed the Intermediate Maharashtra State Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination

ELIGIBILITY AND TERMS OF ADMISSION


1.         Admission to course Foundation of Fine Art
           
(A)       Applicant must have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by
            Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and higher Secondary Education
            with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the case of 
            backward class candidates only from Maharashtra State .
(B)       Applicant must have passed the Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination of Directorate of Art, Maharashtra State.
                DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH ADMISSION FORMS
            The Candidate must submit the attested true copies of the following documents along with the
             Admission Form.
     1.    Mark list of S. S. C. Examination or its equivalent.
     2.     Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination Certificate.
     3.    School Leaving Certificate
     4.    Cast Certificate.

Every student of Institute of Fine Arts should strictly observe the following rules & regulations.

Students must equip themselves with a complete outfit of everything necessary for studies. They should bring their own materials such as drawing boards, colour paints, brushes, papers etc. Only certain necessary workshop items will be provided for workshop based assignments.

Students must attend classes on time and under no circumstances leave the classroom without the permission of the faculty. Irregular attendance may result in their names being struck off from the rolls.

A student will not be allowed to appear for the annual examination unless he/she fulfills 75% of attendance in a single academic year as required by the University.

Students should also satisfactorily complete in time and submit a minimum of 75% of class work.

Students should keep their desk clean and avoid mixing colours there on. Waste papers and rubbish should be consigned to the waste paper basket.

The reference library will be available only during working hours. Students found responsible for damaging books are liable to be fined.

7.

Any student found disturbing the peace and routine of the Institute in its premises would be expelled. Any student found guilty for misbehavior or damaging the property of the Institute will be seriously dealt with as per rules depending upon the seriousness of the act committed.

Every student must have an identity card supplied by the Institute. Two passport size photographs should be produced for the purpose.

The students must carry their ID card while in the premises of the Institute and must produce it in the library or on demand by any member of staff.

Any misuse of the ID card will be dealt with severely.

If the ID card is lost, the concerned student should apply in writing within a week for a duplicate, which will be issued on payment of Rs. 20/-.

Since the Institute is affiliated to the C.C.S. University, the students are required to implicitly abide by the recommendations of the university with regard to the syllabus, scheme of examination, system of examination, award of sessional marks etc.

Admission fee as prescribed by the MGM.College Of Fine Art .

Examination fee is charged as prescribed by the D.O.A. University, Mumbai, to be paid separately at the time of submission of the examination form.

Medical examination is compulsory for all the students.

Materials should be kept in lockers provided for the purpose. The institute authorities are not responsible for the loss incurred by the students. A sum of Rs. 100/- is payable by each student for the locker as annual rent.

Annual study tour to the places of aesthetics and cultural interest is compulsory during the academic year.

18.

Students staying in the hostel must strictly maintain the hostel discipline.

19.

Any student desirous of making an appeal to the Governing Body on any score, should address their note to the President through the Director or Principal.

20.

Ragging is strictly prohibited in the institute campus. Any act of indiscipline in this regard could make the student liable to be debarred from the institute and suitable necessary action would be taken by the institute's management.
